Well, since it's out: ?Thanks, I'm very, very excited! ?HUGE seems
like a great place to work. ?And yeah, just to be clear, I expect to
working there for more than "for a bit" - but I do have a long term
career goal of being a CTO or VP of Engineering. ?To broaden the
message, if you're at your job and don't have long-term career goals I
suggest you take a second and think about who in your office or in
your business contacts has the job that you'd like to have some day.
It's good to have career goals - just not good to broadcast them to
hundreds of people accidentally.
And now I'd request that any conversation about this be moved off-list.
Thanks, and remember, if you can't be an shining example to others,
you can at least be a warning of what not to do! ;)
