I am very much interested in this, is there a website that has more detailed information about this program so that i can dig a little deeper on what type of things will we be doing?

It's been a while since I showed up (I'm sorry!), but that's because Nick (remember him?) and I have been running a school that's taken up most of our time. Anyway, we're setting up the next session now, and we're looking for students. Here's the info:
First off, it's called Hacker School, it's free, and the goal is to make people better programmers.
Ideally hacker school is going to run for just under three months starting September 19th. We meet four days a week from about 11am to 7pm (we currently have space at NYU; we'll likely be elsewhere for the next session). Right now we meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, though we might tweak that depending on what's best for the group. Hacker school is free.
You can think of it a lot like art school or a writers retreat in that it's almost totally project based. The goals are to produce useful FOSS code, read good code, discuss it, learn new languages, and create a community of like minded people. There are no teachers, only students. We also do other things like weekly dinners and events, getting great hackers to come and talk and share their knowledge with the group.
We provide some structure, deadlines, a physical space, and a tight community of other smart and like-minded people who also want to become better hackers.
Let me know if you're interested! Also, now that the last session is over, I promise I'll come back to hang out.
