I need someone who is hands on as well has has experience managing, or wants to take that next step.

Position:

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage, architect, design and implement web platform
  • Continuously improve the performance and scalability of website to support the growth of high-traffic platform
  • Lead a team of engineers (both locally and off-shore) to ensure best practices in all areas of the engineering process such as: rigorous code reviews, unit testing, automated deployment, etc.
  • Mentor and train new team members and share knowledge between a growing team of engineers
  • As a technical leader in your field, you are familiar with and actively involved in current web technology developments, must be passionate about what you do!
  • You have exceptional architecture and design sense and take a pragmatic and iterative approach to engineering
Technical Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby language and Rails framework (3-5 years)
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript language and Backbone framework
  • Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns
  • Solid experience with RESTful architectures and experience working and interacting with web services
  • Solid experience with version control systems
