URGENT Volunteers needed to help me with meal deliveries after Hurricane Sandy.
I will be making some hot food tomorrow. Please help me cook and distribute food amongst the people in need. Any logistical help is appreciated. Please call me at (917)[masked] or PM me for details. Unfortunately due to a fuel shortage I can only make it local to south Brooklyn so I will start around W5-W8 and Neptune.
    Thank you,

    (continues from previous post)

While we have a fairly comprehensive list of people in the buildings. We are hoping that with your help we can re-canvass (walk through again) and get a more affirmative sense of who requires any special assistance to evacuate and at the same time check on their food and water supply while plans are put together for their evacuation.

I am happy to report that I will relocate from my makeshift base of operation "my car", off West 5th into a community center in Warbass at 2770 West 5th street ground floor.

If you are available to help us out tomorrow, please stop by the new base of operation around 10:30 am. If you can please bring a FLASHLIGHT with you.

Thank you everyone so very much again for everything, looking forward to seeing you all soon.

    From John Lisyanskiy
    My dear friends,

Though I can not thank you enough for the overwhelming response and support for our efforts today, my heart is aching. While we knew this would be bad, it now t
urned from bad to worse. Warbass has no power and according to building's management will not have it for the next 2 weeks. As outrageous as it it, we are facing a very grave situation where we will have to help and evacuate a large number of seniors who are trapped in their homes now for many days. This will require a lot of support and troop mobilization. According to our preliminary estimates there could be anywhere from 350 to 650 seniors trapped in those buildings. When I say "trapped" I mean they are unable to relocate without assistance, which sadly most are not getting at this time.

So here is what we are going to to do.
