Sadie Hawkins Day Dance Party With An Alternative Bellydance Show!

Hello Everyone:

It's time to announce our next event, our first Sadie Hawkins Day Dance Party!

For those of you not familiar with Sadie Hawkins Day, it's an American tradition that began in the 1930s where women ask men to dance. By 1952, Sadie Hawkins Day was reportedly celebrated at 40,000 known venues.

Originated by Al Capp's classic hillbillycomic strip, Li'l Abner, this is a true holiday for all those who support women's empowerment!

Date: Friday, November 9th, 6-10 PM

Location: Taj Lounge 48 West 21st street (Bet. 5th & 6th Ave.)

It will feature:

* Some great icebreakers to help you connect!

* A DJ spinning some great tunes that will get you up on the floor!

* Down home drink specials on Lynchburg Lemonade!

*And of course, our Alternative Bellydance Show!

It features top New York dancers performing to non-traditional music (rock, pop, jazz, etc.)

The party will go from 6-10PM with a half hour show around 8:45.

The rest of the night is for networking, dancing, mingling & general merriment!

Featured artists will include:

Ayla Almee

Tanna Valentine

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
