Depends on what "small" means. :P Definitely interested in paying for events.
Having to smile and nod as everyone around me makes cultural references that are so obvious to them but mean nothing me. I know that most of the people I would consider friends wouldn't hold it against me, but admitting it can be really stressful and difficult.
Before I turned 21, I'd had the chance to experience and see more world cultures than most Americans ever will, and it's made me intimately aware that there is more to experience than what goes on inside your own frame of reference.
I recently read David Pollock's book and was a little surprised how close to home it hit, so I'm curious about exploring this a bit more.
I'm not really sure how to describe myself, but I spent large parts of my childhood growing up in France, Japan, and Switzerland. As a result, I sort of settled in NYC as the place where everything and anyone can find a place.
