Talk #2 at our new home of the Empire State Building and we're going to stick with our two talk format.
First up we have Pascal-Louis Perez from Square
Working in large codebases can often be improved by leveraging static analysis, such as type checking.
Pascal-Louis Perez heads Square's engineering office in NYC. In a prior life, he was a compiler guy at Google and Stanford, with a special focus on type theory. Nowadays, he's a compiler geek, entrepreneur during the day, and public radio aficionado at night.
Secondly, we have David Chester and Eric Smiling of Shutterstock
"Practical Examples with Flexbox/CSS3"
Flexbox provides new tools to accomplish sophisticated layouts with ever-increasing browser support and a stabilizing API. We'll talk through examples that were difficult or impossible before flexbox, which are now achievable and even straightforward.
David Chester is Chief Architect at Shutterstock and author of the Rickshaw graphing library.
Eric Smiling is Lead Front End Engineer, Customer Experience team at Shutterstock.
