HackerHours

Hey Everyone, so I decided to set up an event where students can just hang out and hack, much like HackDays used to be. We still love bringing in speakers, but we'd also like to add an event where people can just hang out, program, share what they are working on, and get help from mentors and your peers. Noobies are very much welcome and encouraged to come out. My goal is to be able to use this time to be able to help beginners get started on code and building projects. And for more senior members, its a great way just to find a little time to work, make friends, and give back to the younger crowd. I hope to see you all out on Friday in Courant 312. This is a tryout session, so this event may change in structure, but the idea will remain the same. Come out to this event, and you can follow with HackDays right after for an awesome day of hacking and learning.

Hey everyone, excited to have you all come out this week! Since last week was canceled it will be excited to see how this week goes as a trial run. Bring friends and come to code on whatever you are working on. It will be a great time!

Looking forward to this! I just moved here from California to attend Queens College and was hoping to connect with other student coders.

Sounds perfect man! That's the objective of the event. We want to try to make coding more social for students in the city. Looking forward to seeing you there!
