RE: [nyhackr] [JOB] Predictive Modeling Analyst Needed! Salary to $110k (negotiable) + bonus!

Not to sound whiny, but is that particularly fair to agency recruiters?

I think there has to be a happy medium someplace. I do think that maybe agency recruiters have a place where we can post our jobs (w/o company details) maybe on the message boards.

In the end all of us are trying to make a living and I’m sure we can come up with a way to make every satisfied.

Thanks J

How about charging third party recruiters for job posts but not direct company posts. This should eliminate the muck.

The question was whether not including a company name is appropriate for the list, not whether it is in the interest of a recruiter not to reveal the company name, as if that were sufficient reason to decide list policy. Here's a suggestion, which some data analysis might answer: if it is in the interest of a recruiter not to disclose the company name, nyhackr could be compensated by the recruiter for not disclosing it. Determine a workable fee schedule.

The requirement to list a company (final employer) often is not done when the job

recruiters sending listings? Is there a volume concern?

While job posts are certainly appropriate, I suggest we adopt similar rules to the python group, including:

*Must include company name
*NYC metro area postings only
*Indicate contract/permanent/telecommute information
*Include [JOB] tag in subject heading

It might also be helpful to pin guidelines to the messageboard.

In this economy one would think job posts would be welcomed in any capacity. I have jobs as well that are pertinent for this group and don’t know where the appropriate place to post would be.
