Columbia Journalism School | Stabile Center (map)
Following our January 24 meetup with the fabulous immigration lawyer Angelo Paparelli, we've come to realize how important immigration issues and concerns are for the many internationals who come to New York City.
After learning about the many stipulations, types of visas, and checkpoints that have to be considered when applying for a stay in the states, we'd like explore the stories behind the green card journey.
Join us at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31 at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism where the collaborators behind the remarkable and beautiful new book, "Green Card Stories" will host a discussion on the face of immigration and reform in 2012.All four of the book's collaborators will be there: Laura Danielson, Stephen Yale-Loehr, Saundra Amrhein, and Ariana Lindquist. They'll discuss the process to put together the book and how they found 50 individuals from 5 different continents willing to share their green card stories.
(We'll be sitting on the right side of the Stabile Center, which is next to the Journalism School's main lobby).
