Lower Manhattan Photowalk
Come join the New York Shutterbugs for a walk through Lower Manhattan's Financial District. We'll meet at 10am at 60 Wall Street. 60 Wall Street is the Deutsche Bank Building, and has an atrium open to the public that's ideal for a meeting spot.
Along the way, we'll pass by quite a few famous NYC landmarks. These include the New York Stock Exchange, the Wall Street Bull, Staten Island Ferry, Battery Park and Castle Clintion, the Irish Hunger Memorial, the Hudson River Promenade, City Hall and several others I'm sure I'm forgetting. We're in for a day of great photos and great company.
The group will proceed at a moderate pace from our meeting spot and proceed along the predetermined route. In the interest of trying to keep the group together, we will try and stop for 10-15 minutes at each of a series of waypoints to allow members to catch up. Please take your time in composing and taking your photos, but please also try and remain cognizant of the location of the group so we don't get separated!
• On Broadway in front of Trinity Church
• The Wall Street Bull, at Bowling Green
• South Ferry
• Benches near Battery Place and Little West Street
• North Cove Marina
• Irish Hunger Memorial
• City Hall Park
These landmarks can all be found on Google Maps.
There are lots of options when it comes to getting to the area. The closest trains will be the 2 or 3 trains to Wall Street, which will take you right to the Atrium. The Wall Street stop on the 4 or 5 will leave you at Broadway, with a short walk up Wall Street to the Atrium. The Fulton Street stop on the A and C trains is a 5-10 minute walk south to the meetup location. Finally, the Rector Street stop on the R train is about at 10 minute walk east to the Atrium.
Please note that the J and Z trains do NOT run to Broad Street on the weekends. The J will take you to Chambers Street, which is a much further walk than the other options.

I will post my phone number a few days before the meetup.
Keep in Mind
• We'll be on our feet for a long time, comfortable shoes are recommended
• The Autumn weather is upon us, please wear appropriate clothing
• There are lots of places in the area to grab a quick bite
• Tripods shouldn't be necessary at this time of day, but are an option
There's really a whole wealth of NYC history and architecture to be seen in this area. This walk will take us all through the western portion of the Financial District and along the Hudson River Promenade. Next time, join us as we explore the eastern path, heading north up the East River and into Chinatown!
Look forward to seeing you there.
