This was an enjoyable evening. I'm glad the event was moved to Friday. There wasn't much that I could add to the conversations. However, it was a joy to be able to listen in on various topics. My workday was a long one, but this evening was a nice end.

how long do the meet ups last usually? I may have to work late but can make it by 8:15 if people are still going to be around.

We meet for 10 minutes. Speed chat about trek and consume our grub through the use of hypo sprays. Then leave.
No, I think we will at the restaurant well past 10pm. It's Friday night.
I have a 3 book series, Star Trek Deep Space 9 Terok Nor if anyone's interested in borrowing them. This will be my 1st time at the meeting so I look forward to meeting a few of you.

I've read the DS9 Millennium series, weird but a really good read. Will have to check this one out

I was thinking of reading the series. I thought it was mainly next gen because of the time period

The book is marketed as being TNG. However, most of the "face time" is given to DS9. TNG characters seem to have more of a cameo type role. All of the action is happening around Sisko, Bajor, and the wormhole.
Makes me want to buy it even more
I just finished reading Star Trek: Typhon Pact: Raise the Dawn. Strange that they called it a Next Generation book, but most of the characters were from Deep Space 9.
I thought i had changed it. I went through the repeat process. Oh well. Thanks.

I have and will continue to hate meetup for never getting this right! No, this is the move. This is the new night until further notice.
I just changed it to repeat every friday...on the edit section where it says 'repeat automatically' there is an option to change date/ day/ time.

I am also posting this in my cosplay group so my friends can join in!
I have a question, would guys like to discuss a new and hopefully up comming Star Trek: book/video game multiplayer online game/television series. And yes, this new storyline for untold HISTORY that wasn't talked about in all five series. If you are I would like to here from you
0 · December 16, 2012
I'm not sure. If you mean the paperback series which continue beyond the TV series, then yes, I would be interested in discussions based on one of the books. I read "Plague of Night", and now I'm starting on the next book, "Raise the Dawn".
Are u talking about a fanfic?
Kind of, I talking about a whole new book series that I writing myself. Called darkness of humainity and it all take place prewarp era into warp era
And beyond the first contact
Movie into nx-01 enterprise. Because there is a lot that is untold there with world war 3 and the irate 100 years until contact to enterprise. And sorry replying on my phone is a
Original novels based on the classic Star Trek TV series began in l970 and are continuing. I read most, if not all of them (and books on other ST series), for maybe 25-30 years. Some were better (some much) than others, but I don't remember details of particular books or plots. Over the years, many fan-written works were published and sold at conventions (some available on eBay). No reason why you can't discuss an "original" idea for a book, game, etc. with another fan(s), Michael. But I wouldn't expect too much from a Meet-up discussion. There's usually too much going on. And, frankly, I think rights (owned by Paramount now, I forget) would have something to say about making money on Trek related merchandizing.
I just thinking outside the box and boldly going where no Trekkie has gone before. Looking in the historic pass of our beloved humanity that seem to become enlighten over night
Here tell me what u think.
Darkness of Humanity
Book 1: The Problems of Yesterday
In the year 2551, a pair of West Point Military Academy senior students find themselves in a of the graduation week a file that had been lost for over a little of a half a century. The file could change everything they learned of the human history. The file called “Darkness of Humanity” holds the dirtiness, darkness, and the most corrupted history of humanity from the early 1990s to the first shot of World War III and to the First Contact in 2051.
How humanity came from drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and other disgusting and vile crimes. But then somehow out of the chaos of humanity’s dark hours of his vileness, they looked to the star and became enlightened as if to say, “Okay, let us cut the shit and work for the better of humanity.”
Okay, I look into that the copy right law says up 10% can be base off of someone else's work and u say base off whatever work with that person as well or company. But my idea is so view changing of way a trek thinks te know about prewarp and the temporal cold war. That I had to make up historic events and characters.
