Who attended?

  • 189 attendees
    •  well organized and a great group of people
    • Todd Vaccaro (+2 guests)
a little tech heavy and less content oriented. Which is good and fine, but I'm interested in meeting artistic creators of interactive UG videos.
    • Matthew Semel (+1 guest)
Too much time for each presentation. You should be stricter about keeping them short. Four should be over in under an hour.
    •  Interesting but the presentations were a little long. I was expecting an hour of presentation and they ended up being over an hour and a half. But otherwise a great job, well done.
    •  I think we need to implement some sort of "Oscars orchestra"-style time indicator... no one seems to abide by the time limitations. That or just have 3 presenters per week. It was such a long day for me that I had to leave right after the last presenter. I know you're trying to keep things moving, but I guess you need to be even more strict. Also, consider collecting the "hard" questions and letting the speakers just answer them online after the event, to save time. (Maybe picking just one to ask in person).
    •  This was my first time attending your event and I was very impressed. Very interesting speakers, you are doing a great job organizing and moderating this event. Adding an organized networking event afterwards would definetly add value.
    •  Needs to start on time. Could start earlier...maybe 6:30 PM. Company presentations too long and too many of them. Tight rows of seats limits networking. Need better way to identify people you might want to talk with. Large open room with refreshments would be friendlier.
    •  too many speakers, speeches too long some were unabashed sales pitches, session ran too long perhaps networking could be in the begining or middle of the evening.
    • Missy Gartner (+1 guest)
Yaron is a terrific host and I always thoroughly enjoy the presenters he gets. My hats off to a job well done, once again!
    •  would be nice to have an area to go to after, have a drink (beer) and network. but overall it was good. i quite enjoyed it.
    •  All good. I liked the emphasis on getting people to ask anonymous questions.
    •  It was a very friendly and relaxed environment, and I really liked the intelligence and the frankness of the group, which got its clues from Yaron. However, the presentations and Q&A took a long time. A little more discipline in keeping the presentations and follow-up Q&A to a time limit, and allowing people to continue more detailed discussions during the networking afterwards may work better, especially for those who have limited time and would like to see all the demos before having to leave. All in all, it was a great event, though.
    •  Perhaps we can start an hour earlier? Schedule a separate networking nigth?
    • LZ
I really hope we can start on time next time.
    •  I always enjoy the events but I thought last night was simply too long. It was good in the beginning to have everyone introduce themselves but now that the group has grown so large, it takes up too much time and leaves no time to network at the end. Brightcove's presentation, while interesting, was just far too long. I think that the original concept of the group is getting lost in the growth. We're not there for a product demo to learn how to use their tool, we're supposed to be learning about up and coming initiatives.
    •  i'll be back. Yaron was v professional and kept proceedings moving with insightful questions
    • GG (+1 guest)
       great people
    •  Went a little long. Maybe start earlier and have fewer or shorter presentations.
    •  great event- however needs to start at 6:30, on time, and have only 1 hour tops of demos so we can get to the networking...
