I think that the Wiffiti needs to go. It's distracting and disrespectful to the presenters.
    •  Informative and entertaining. Thank you for keeping it informal. If it wasn't, you wouldn't continue to get such great feedback and grity new york tone. However, you could tell that some people don't like the informalities. _ _ _ _ 'em. Matthew
    •  In spite of the tech glitches Our Man Yaron proved once again he's the Dr. Phil of Web Video and worked the audience until they were -- literally -- singing operatic Chanukah songs. Does it get any better than this? Oh, yeah, the presenters were pretty good to, maybe the best since some of the first meetings at Tribeca Films.
    • Stanley Dalnekoff (+1 guest)
I think the group is too large and consideration should be given to splitting it into more manageble smaller groups. For instance, it seems to be becoming difficult to find suitable accommodations for the meetings because of the large attendance.
    •  Lose the wiffitti. Tech problems were unfortunate but Yaron did a good job keeping things moving.
    •  it was nice...but has been better. tech problems were a bit of a pain. wiffiti is great and funny but not when at expense of presenter.
    •  Those darn projectors.
    •  the event was great. awesome but tough crowd!
    •  The Wiffiti. Should. Be. Kept. Yes, there were some stupid comments made but overall it was a great experience. What better way to gauge the pulse of the audience? It was a welcome addition providing real-time questions, links and thoughts about the presentations. Which, by the way, would not have received any negative comments had it been for an engaging PR person doing them. If the crowd laughs at your presentation, they are sure as hell not going to buy your product. So take a hit, learn and move on. Otherwise, the event was great - many thanks to Yaron, especially for being able to keep the event alive during those technical difficulties.
    •  ROCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Andrew Baisley (+1 guest)
       Loved it minus projector probs
    •  Great job, Yaron. Strong, relavent questions. Keep it up...you're elevating the community through this program. Thanks.
    •  I think Yaron is very good organizer. Very focused.
    • Jim McCusker (+1 guest)
Great venue. Technical difficulties unfortunately impacted presenters.
    • Nathalie Herling (+1 guest)
Great energy. Fun, quality... many people for connecting.
    •  Great event tonight! The text message screen was funny, although in the future we probably shouldn't do it - it was too distracting.
    •  Just want to let everyone know the video will be posted as soon as possible. It's been encoding for two straight days - anyone want to buy me an 8-core Mac Pro?
    • Victor (+1 guest)
I realize that sh%t happens, but the organizers should make all efforts to minimize A/V issues in preparation for the presenters. Yaron had a great deal of filler time, but handled it gracefully.
    •  I was only able to stay until about 7:30, and saw one presentation. Wiffiti was brutal, and not fair to the presenters. Would you consider a screener in the future for legitimate questions?
    •  the issue with the projector not working was a bummer. its good to know what other people are doing -prefer that people who want to talk about it do, rather than (as has been previously done, going around the room and having people introduce themselves)
    •  well done by Yaron
    •  Seemed a bit disorganized, difficulting establishing a flow
    • JTartikoff (+1 guest)
Please get rid of the SMS text messaging. This was a disaster tonight. Having the sponsor get heckled like that is not good for our group. And the sophmore-ish messages about "hot chicks" etc. do not do our group much good either. Please do not have this feature at future events. I know it is supposed to facilitate discussion, but it actually distracts from the real reason we're there.

Great event, technical difficulties was tough but as always Yaron did a great job of filling in any gaps.
    •  It was great to see what startups are doing with online video. There are clearly numerous applications. It would be nice to have a focus now and again though on companies that provide content versus those providing support services. I like the informal atmosphere of it all too. While the sms thing is novel people were clearly abusing it and I felt it was disrespectful for the presenters even if they were not giving a good presentation. It is not like we paid to be there and each segment was kept fairly brief. But otherwise it was a great experience and I will definitely check out future meetups.
    •  It was great to see other folks in the same boat. I learnt a lot from the presenters.
    •  The tech difficulties took a little steam out of the energy level, especially for those of us there all day.
