Impressive turn-out. I think Webster Hall is a better venue, though: much easier to network. Something about the lighting (and the drinks) seems to support social flow.

I thought it was an open bar before the event. The lack of free wifi was also a turnoff, but for an event this size it went well.

    •  Liked the idea of the "Startup Idol" and the SMS voting. Yaron - always a great job!

       big..i was late sorry
    • Hal Danziger (+1 guest)
Well done. Yaron is a funny albeit slightly edgy facilitator, and pulled together some VCs to give feedback to the startups at the event.
    •  Well organized and interesting presentations. Looking forward to the next meet up @ Webster Hall.
    • Baba (+1 guest)
Was a good show but as is with such large groups it is not easily possible to network.
    •  I wrote a short comment and have audio recordings of the presentations available at http://jensschroe...
    • Steve Apple (+1 guest)
Another great group of presentations. Thanks Yaron.
    • Philippe Collin (+2 guests)
       Excellent monitoring
    • Pam Spector (+1 guest)
Great forum to learn about other companies and network. Interested in seeing how the regular gatherings are in what I heard to be a smaller setting.
    •  Great forum to learn about new technologies and meet people in the business.
    •  I with it had started on time because there was a full schedule and I had to leave early. I understand that the organizers want to wait until there is a critical mass but I have a tightly scheduled life and I set aside this time for the presentations and Q&A. Since none of the presenters stayed to their 5 minute time limit, it's even more important to start on time.
    • Andy Robson (+2 guests)
Excellent format with the VCs and Text voting Keep it going
    •  Great. Fun.
    • Laura (+2 guests)
Really thought-provoking and educational. Yaron, you do a great job of emceeing and keepigng things fun and funny too. The American Idol format was good - it's helpful to hear from the VCs. Only critique is that when the presenter mics have a lot of reverb (beginning with Magnify's presentation and through to the end), it's really unbearable and should be dealt with right away. Audience member mics also were problematic and it would be more seamless event if that problem could be nipped in the bud.
    • Ned Canty (+1 guest)
As always, an informative and exciting night.
    •  Too big
    •  The most impressive web video event. I was blow away by the entire experience.
    • Tom Herman (+1 guest)
It was great. Webster hall w/ drinks BEFORE the event was much better for social networking.
    •  I thought the meeting was great, I just wish the presenter part ended a little earlier. The American Idol bit was pretty funny.
    •  Excellent
    •  The presentations showcased new and interesting technologies.
    •  I think Yaron did a great job (as usual), but I also really liked the addition of the VCs and the voting. It added a really fun and interesting dimension to the Meetup. Thanks!
    • Vinod Vemuri (+1 guest)
I liked the idea of VC's commenting about the product demonstration. This is my first meetup. Would like to see opportunities to interact more.
    •  Very informative and eye opening; I love the open format.
    •  The format was injteresting and fun. The mood of the room was good. Yaron does a great job keeping it moving. As a Recruiter, I was looking for a chance to talk about a few openings. When the chance came it was early in the evening, and only a few folks got to say what they were looking for. It was my understanding there would be abother opportunity at the end, but did not come. Next time I'll be ready at the beginning, and get my hand u pfaster.
    •  Limited networking, very little time spent talking about ideas
