My name is Alison. I am new to Chattanooga. I love the outdoors....learning­ to hanglide and whitewater kayak and overnight backpack; also love skiing. Amateurs at all but loving' it!

Hang gliding, kayaking, hiking, rappelling, etc!

Gone to yellowstone

    Cherokee Hiking Club of Southeast Tennessee

    You could camp right at the site. Jake Best is a campground. There are other numerous CGs along Citico as well, many of which are free.

    Alison, are you referring to the work trip tomorrow? if so, chainsaws are not needed. Just show up. But if you are referring to some other Thursday work trip, let me know. Are you certified by the USFS for chain saw operation? We look forward to you joining us. I won't be there tomorrow, so just introduce yourself to the group. You will enjoy the day. It is a fun weekly trip. As to camping, no, I am not aware of anyone camping.

    Hey Alison, I just posted a meetup for next weekend [Sept.-10th] We are going to be flying tandem, but if you want to learn, I know I can get your flying cost towards the flying lessons. Some time next month we will do other meetups that are geared toward learning all the way. They have many dif. packages if you need help deciding what will work best for you let me know.     Alison, I would have to recommend the Lookout Mt. Flight Park. I'm currently working with them again on weekends. I think you are a little more that 2.5 hrs from here. If you are really interested in flying let me know I can probably get you some kind of discount. This weekend we have another meetup group flying with us. I just met those guys last night when they were arriving...
