Introduction
Emily Davis- I hate writing about myself (not a huge fan of writing in general actually), I love the outdoors (of course), teaching (I teach elementary special education), learning, reading, family (including my 3 dogs), friends...
What are your favorite outdoor activities?
My favorites are paddling (flatwater and whitewater), hiking, backpacking, camping, biking and gardening, and I also like climbing and caving, pretty much everything but "winter" sports
Where is the coolest place you've been?
So hard to decide, I love Southern Appalachia, the cumberland trail and the Sipsey Wilderness are particular favorites, and Southern WV, the New River Gorge (my second home, or rather camp...)
What's the most adventurous thing you've done?
I'm not very adventurous, too much training in safety and risk mgmt to allow for that...
Where is your favorite getaway spot?
the closest woods or river, currently Chickamauga Battlefield by bike or on foot with dogs, the TN river by kayak, or my porch with a good book :)
