Where have you been! Oahu Go Club has cut back its meetings due to lack of attendance and we now meet on 2nd and 4th Tuesday at Starbucks at Borders Bookstore between 6pm and 9:pm.
I know many of you are unable due to work or having moved, but the rest of you we need to come and RSVP your coming so bring enough boards.
If there is a topic you like to discuss email or place it sheer at Meetup in the discussion area!
Anyway I hope to see at our next meeting August 12th and if you know anyone else interested in Go send to us!
Also if your meeting someplace, cool, let us know as well so we can join you and play Go!

Practice and more practice is key, as well as studying go problems and your note going to get betetr staying at home and not playing! does not work that way!
If you can come here maybe you start up a Honolulu Go Club, just need a few more a go problem book and willingness to sit and wait for someone to ask you about the game your playing or studying!
PS: As part of Windward Chess & Go Club I do carry Go boards, but I mainly teach and play chess on Mondays, but your welcome to teach and play other players and me if I'm not busy teaching or playing chess. This is in Borders book store in the "History section!

As far as rated tournaments when you decide to start playing in them there is the annual AGA membership depending on category you want and there will be a small fee per tournament depending on their size and awards to be given. All that information will be available at the above link.
We will be adding a Go resource library and we will manage that via https://www.goclubs.org as well and tournaments. This Go Clubs Online website will allow us to sign up for tournaments (OTB and online severs) in other states as well, If your traveling to that area so that will make it easier to get and information about those events..
