This Meetup group is for those of us who love to hike with our dogs. We seek out the best dog-friendly trails in Oakland and nearby cities.
Bring your dog and let them enjoy a good run, a redwood forest, a sandy beach and all the places dogs are nuts about. We have both weekend and evening hikes ranging in 3-7miles. Hikes vary from easy to strenuous and the goal is to enjoy our hikes and dogs with other dog lovers.
With respect for our trails and fellow trail users, hikes in this group are kept to small sizes (6-8 hikers).
Anyone wanting to share a favorite trail, feel free to email me. I look forward to meeting you and your dogs on the trail.

Anyone up for a weekday night hike? The days are getting shorter but my dog still wants to go hiking. With some light we may be able to do this. This hike will follow Seaview Trail until the intersection of Seaview and Big Springs and then we'll turn back. If the visibility is good, maybe we can hike up Vollmer Peak. I'm anticipating that this hike will be cool and possibly windy so dress warmly & bring your flashlight! Read more
