Laughter Yoga combines playful easy laughter exercises with some yogic breathing. After laughing and playing with this fabulous group, you will leave energized and relaxed. Lift your mood, reduce stress, lower blood pressure and boost your immune system while you have fun. How cool is that!

The Oakland LIfefire Laughter Club was started in 2007 by Annie Goglia, a certified Laughter Yoga Teacher and Life Coach. Annie loves to share her laughter with others with an open heart. She was trained by the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria, an MD from India in 1995. There are now over 6000 Laughter Clubs in over 60 countries around the world spreading peace and joy through laughter! In 2013, Liz Nichols, Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, joined Annie as co-leader.

No mats needed. Adults and older teens of all levels of physically fitness are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing for easier laughing.

Laughing with others is priceless. The Oakland Lifefire Laughter Club is a sliding scale of $10-20.

This "laughter club" is open to all, and drop-ins are always welcome. We meet the evening of the first and third Mondays of the month, except major holidays. We also have occasional weekend Meetups - keep checking!

Our group has been meeting since January 2007.
