The Book of Acts - Introduction (Session 2)

  • Apr 25, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our first study!

For our first study we will be introducing and reading from the Book of Acts! In this introduction meetup we will have a chance to meet one another and discuss some background information about the book, its theme, content, and how it is relevant for us today.

The goal is to get a good overview of the book as we jump into the text of chapter 1 and begin a chapter by chapter study of the book as a whole. We would love to have you join us for this study!

Where we'll meet

We've reserved the Dierkes Community Room A at the La Grange Public Library. As soon as you enter the library's main entrance, take the stairs or elevator on your right down to the lower level. Once downstairs, the community room will be on your left.

Getting to the library is easy! It is located in downtown La Grange on the corner of La Grange Rd and Cossitt Ave. Free parking is available at the library or in several parking lots in downtown La Grange (map available here). The library is also located only 3 blocks from the BNSF La Grange Rd Metra stop.

When we'll meet

The study will last from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. If you are not able to make this study time, an alternative time will be offered on the preceding Saturday (April 20th). We'll cover the exact same material at that session, so you can choose whichever is most convenient for you.

The plan is to meet on the first and third Saturday of each month, and also on two Thursdays per month (the Thursday following each Saturday session). The Thursday sessions will cover the exact same material as the preceding Saturday sessions so you can choose to come to one or the other and you won't miss a thing. Please see our calendar for more details!

What to bring

a Bible (if you have one). If you don't have one already, we'll bring several copies and will be happy to give to you one.

We're looking forward to it!

We're really excited about getting this started and studying God's word together. This is and will always be completely free of charge and open to anyone and everyone who wants to come. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me (Rusty Taylor) anytime.

The library neither sponsors nor endorses this event nor the presenting individual or organization.
