iPad & Maps Workshop

Hi All!

I am planning to run through a workshop where I demo some features of Oracle BI that are getting a bit of interest in the field -

* How to use your iPad with OBIEE

* How to use maps with OBIEE

This will take place at the Oracle office (to be confirmed), and limited number of participants.

It is aimed at developers with business sense, and/or business users with a techie streak, preferably with some prior Oracle BI experience.

Other topics I'd like to work on during the coming months include -

* Exalytics and the Summary Advisor to speed up your BI

* OBIEE and Oracle R

* Text analysis, and social media analysis with Oracle Endeca Information Discovery

* Real-time reporting with Oracle Endeca Information Discovery extensions for EBS

* Statement of Intent scorecards with Oracle Scorecard and Strategy Management

* Interactive, and power-user ad-hoc reporting with BI Publisher 11g

Regards

Dan

    Good seeing everyone at the meetup, hope to look at the following topics every two months or so:

    * An overview of Oracle's BI & Analytics offering. What's out there? Bring your laptops, and we'll setup the Sample Application on each (min. 6 Gb RAM, x64)

    * Management Score-carding with Oracle Scorecard and Strategy Management (OSSM)

    * Predictive Analytics

    * OBIEE with non-Oracle source application data sources. For example, reporting on a custom operational application.

    * Endeca extensions for E-Business Suite

    I will also write a blog post on how to use NZ Map data with Oracle Business Intelligence. (www.obieeabc.com)

    Some other ideas:

    * How to migrate from Discoverer to OBIEE

    * How to migrate from Hyperion Interactive Reporting to OBIEE
