This group has been created to help owners socialize their dogs. Behavior problems frequently arise from inadequate socialization, and behavior problems are the leading cause of death for dogs in shelters. We can help all sorts of dogs, and deliver the one-on-one attention troubled dogs need. We use positive reinforcement only, and focus on helping the dog change their emotional response to something that troubles them. We go at the dog's pace, and meet every Sunday afternoon, weather permitting.  Read Control Unleashed by Leslie McDevitt for an idea of the types of exercises we'll do.

Note:

• It is important to RSVP to the meetups.
• We meet every Sunday afternoon at 3:00 unless notified otherwise.  The park location may change, but the time will be consistent.
• We will work in shifts, as needed by the attendees for the day.  Each reactive dog/handler will get 10-15 minutes of 1-on-1 time to work on whatever they need, and get some pointers for how to continue the work at home for the week.  
• A general social gathering for well-adjusted, happy-go-lucky dogs will be at the end of the meeting.  
• A 4 or 6-foot leash is required at all times per Irvine law, no exceptions.  No flexi leashes, please.
