Front-end deployment with Grunt

By Kien Pham

Imagine writing your CSS and Javascript in your favorite syntax such as LESS, Coffeescript, minimized it, gzipped it and get it deployed to AWS S3 / CloudFront with a single command? Grunt can do that for you! In this talk Kien will describe the front-end deployment workflow with Grunt and doing live demo to show you how easy it is to get code to production under 10s after build. Setup discussed will be mostly Nodejs based but will be a great discussion for PHP Developers to understand css / js / image compression and how they can implement themselves using similar methods.

Kien Pham works on the R&D team at SendGrid which is a company that helps developers not to worry about setting up email servers for their app.

Looks like another great topic! It's a bit far for me but wish I could come out to support William Estrada & John Romine. It'd be great if Kien (& any other presenters) share their slides w/those of us who can't be there in person. ;)

Due to a schedule shift, I'm watching the kids longer then I had planned today. Hope to make it next month.
