BLUES and ROCK Jam at The Cantina

This will be a Blues and Rock jam at The Cantina, hosted by TRINORMOUS, with OCBP members Carlos De Couto and John "K" Kuusto, and drummer Carlo Virtucio.

This is an "anything goes" jam (I'm talking about music here people) so if you've been wanting to dust off that old ZZ Top or if you think you can pull off some Zeppelin then go for it! If you want to stick with the blues that's cool too! Rumour has it the OCBP horn section will be there

We hope to see you there for a rockin good time!

I was skeptical about this at first. I thought there was a good chance it would turn into a noise-fest. But the result was far from a noise-fest, very far! Great music all day. Lots of classic rock, some funky stuff, and yes, some blues too. It was loud but not stupid loud. Louder than the blues jams but not by too much. AFAIK, no one complained about the volume. Probably not the right venue for people who want to "chat with some friends over a drink". But if you want to listen to some great music, the stuff that a lot of us grew up with, then I think it would be a great fit for music fans. As usual, the horn section was super.
Trinormous was fantastic, a very tight power trio. Good job Carlos! Thanks to all the backliners.

Thanks Jim for all the kind words and your support. Loved your set w/ Eddie, Gene & Ben. Those tunes don't cut it unless you play them at that level, you nailed it. I was around the bar area and it sounded really tight! I only had H2O to drink until our set was done. Nice to play sober sometimes... lol after our set, the drinks tasted even better since it was on Dave! Jus' kiddin' Thanks Dave!!! You're always so generous...

An AWESOME time. It was really nice to hear some Classic Rock, and everyone (as usual) was great.
The new kid (Literally) Andrew Garcia all of 15 years old was phenomenal on the guitar, and it was his first time on a live stage; and only been playing for 2 years- this kid is going places. Don't forget our back stage passes when your famous!!
