FYI. If you have the Pandora app, you can enter any blues performers such as Joe Bonumussa, BB King, Tab Benoit, Keb Mo, Stevie Ray V. Wood Brothers or whoever and have all the Blues play non stop all day, night or whenever it takes your fancy......love listening this way.....enjoy if you don't listen this way already!

Just to reiterate - Papa J and OCBS did a GREAT job pulling this show together. Downtown Diz needs to get their act together :) Kudos to all the performers.

Thank you to everyone that came out, even if you didn't make it to the venue. I'm sorry there were some traffic/parking issues, that really sucks! It pisses me off that my buds, people who paid to come support our band and the whole effort were turned away because of lack of parking. Again, that really sucks! But that was really out of the control of any of us who put on or participated in the show. I know no ill will was intended, but some posts here were uncalled for and I've cleaned them up. Please remember that this is a public face of our group, some discussions are best kept offline. Let's try to keep things on a positive note please. But I really do appreciate the kind words that were said about the band, and the support given, we all really do appreciate it. And I apologize if I don't always show it.

I was hoping this wouldn't turn into a negative discussion. That certainly wasn't my intent. I created this Meetup Event on my own, not from the direction of anyone. I did it to try to draw more people to "Raise The Roof" because I had so many friends playing at it. It was a friendly gesture, I thought, that has evidently backfired.

Mentioning the insane traffic jam and the fact that some folks bought tickets but didn't get to see the show due to mismanagement by *DISNEY* seems to be reasonable feedback. That's what this section is for, feedback. Some will be positive, some might be negative. If it's negative be fair and honest. If people are hurling personal insults around then they're obviously out of bounds and they should just be ignored for their rudeness. On the other hand, maybe don't take things so personal when negative feedback comes along.

Sorry I missed the event, sounds like it was a blast.

Downtown Disney was gridlocked when I got there around 2:00. The parking lot was closed and the cops had people going in a circle trying to find "alternate parking" which didn't exist as far as I could tell. If anyone found a parking spot you're a better person than I. On my second pass through, after an hour of sitting in traffic, I regrettably turned back home. Apologies to my blues buddies for missing the grand show. I'm sure it went well. Pat yourselves on the back for playing the big stage :)

OK on the parking issue. Only Disney way was gridlocked.. they always have a huge free lot at the end of the road heading south. Then you just walk straight to the HOB

      February 24, 2014

    • Bill H.

If there are special tips to find parking and HOB, perhaps they could be documented and posted. I grew up in Houston, so I am bereft of local lore on how to tame Das Mouse and chill at Disneyland. To the uninitiated, it just seems like a humongous traffic jam.

I skipped my hike and brought a guest to donate the money for this fundraiser.. you guys didn't leave any info at ticket counter for us so we had no way to ever get to hang out with any of the guys that play the blues like me. We were denied access to the upstairs, they said ''you have to find who has all access wristbands''. Downstairs at 4pm we were practically the only people standing there. So we never had a MEETUP at all. I still think at least one full hour shoud've have been for us to lottery an all star jam: was way to structured to really involve everyone except the same old boys who were already friends b4 the show.

I filled out the complaint form, thanks Jim ! What a horrible location for a music venue ! It really was quite a cluster fuck yesterday ! Very frustrating ! This will keep me away from the HOB Anaheim ! Unless of course I had a "paying gig" ! LOL ! justsayin

You can make some of the people happy all of the time, all of the people happy some of the time, but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time. We tried!

Not your fault Jeff. I hope you realize that no one's dissin the performers or OCBS. But quite a few people bought tix and didn't get to see the show through no fault of their own. It's a legit concern. Downtown Disney is at fault here.

      2 · February 24, 2014

Yes, would have been a much larger crowd.

I encourage the people who didn't get to see the show because of the parking fiasco to let their experience known to HOB via this form: http://www.sharedinsight.com/survey/hob.php

I did, and to his credit, the GM of HOB called me. I know it seems like a waste of time but if they don't know about these problems it'll never get fixed. Be polite tho :)

Hey, so to attend this I may have to cut out of my other Meetup. Can I get a time exactly when the show ends? Is it in the main big room, whens the latest I could make it and still see some main parts of the show, and best place to park if I come late?? Thanks, the Drummer

    February 22, 2014

    I will ask.

After reading the HOB house rules about personal cameras. I am wondering if bringing both my cameras would be a problem? Anyone had any experience with this?

If you still need tickets PM one of the Crosscut Delux band members!

    February 16, 2014

  • Jim F

I got a PM from someone asking if there is a charge for this event. Yes, but it's nominal, I think 10 bucks. Maybe one of the event players can chime in here on the cost of the tickets and how to obtain them.

    February 16, 2014

    • Richard

The ticket price at the door is $12.50. But you can purchase a ticket from any of the OCBP members named in the description above ahead of time for $10.00. I'll be at the jam at Main St Restaurant today, 2 - 6, I'll have tickets with me, as will Papa J and some of the others I'm sure. Just hit us up.
