Let's do another acoustic jam, another jam in the park, just like the last one. Paul Constantine and Linda, and my wife Lynn and I will be camping, in sites 46 & 48, and we invite anyone that wants to come out and camp along with us, but you'll have to make your own reservations. We also will do a potluck style barbecue, we'll have the grills fired up, please bring whatever meat you want, to throw it on the grill; and please bring a dish to share, either a salad or some kind of side dish or desert. (note: keep in mind that alcohol is not allowed in the park, so if you're bringing out some adult beverages please be discreet) Any other suggestions or questions, lets see them here so we can get to work on them. This should be really great, I'm looking forward to seeing you there!

Really mellow and fun! I was already tired and didn't get there until 5pm so the low-key jam was a perfect end to a busy day. Thanks! :)

Drummer friends: my djimbe has a broken drum head and I do not have anymore Latin/African drums. If you have an extra, please bring it for me.

OK, the time for this jam is getting closer, hope you all are getting prepared for it. Just a reminder that this will be in the camping section of the park. Since most campers leave Sunday morning, the park tends to get a little loose about letting folks back to that section, but technically only campers are allowed to drive back there. A hot tip is there is a small store right across the street, just down from the park entrance a short distance, f I recall correctly there is a post office there too. I recommend parking there and walking across the street, we'll be camped almost directly across from that store. That's where we're gonna jam.

Yes, that is the Post Office across the highway from our campsite. Next to it is the Canyon Feed & Tack store. If you need help locating us, or need help hauling stuff in to the site, call me on my cel:[masked] I can exit the park and meet you across the street if need be to help you haul yourself & your gear/food in. Or, if you enter the park and park on the day use side I can drive over there to pick you up.

You said it's acoustic. Should I leave my small battery amp at home?

    October 5, 2012

    • Richard

Probably best to stick with acoustic.

Sorry, I'll be at Cooks Corner with Instigator. We booked it a long time ago.

[Shameless self-promotion] When you get to Cook's Corner, turn right on Live Oak Canyon Road. O'Neill Park will be about 1.5 miles away. But why not stop for a couple Instigator tunes on the way? Alcohol is most definitely allowed at Cook's.

Id like to bring my acoustic bass guitar but I don't think it can be heard. My upright maybe?

    September 21, 2012

    • Richard

Upright would be cool, or a small battery powered amp for the acoustic bass. That's what Rudy will be bringing for the keys.

The camping would be on Sat the 13th...or are you camping into Monday?

    September 15, 2012

    • Paul C.

I'm arriving Friday afternoon and leaving monday morning

      September 15, 2012

    • Richard

Same here, we're getting there on Friday, leaving on Monday.

If you're thinking about joining us in the camping part of this, don't wait too long to make reservations, the park does typically sell out on weekends.

My idea of camping is a luxury hotel... <totally kidding, but not camping ;-)>
