I just watched "Inside Job". Charles Ferguson's film -- Inside Job -- won the Academy Award for Best Documentary in 2011. It narrates the conflicts of interest between the finance industry, politicians, academics and regulators, which eventually led to the trillion-dollar collapse of 2008. Narrated by Matt Damon.

If you care to know what the Wall St. protesters are angry about, I can recommend this highly.

A Light rain is falling currently, bring tarps, rain gear, and a blanket or sleeping bag. Be prepared for the Nazis (SCPD) to site everyone with "camping" (as they so like to do). They will be looking to interfere with anyone that does not meet the secret "Dress Code". Anything the the City Council and the Downtown Association tell them to do, they will do, including mass arrests. Be Peaceful, Polite and Firm. Peace!

Last point,,, The neocons will do their best to use tone like this to discredit what is happening in New York and elsewhere. By doing what the right does so well you are legitmizing the spin they so want to put on this movement at its early phase. dont make it easy for them. I would welcome a few tea pariers and elements of the furing right because it will muzzle the spin machine at FOX and freedom works. We must be tacticaly smarter than those that wish to discredcit this thing.

Last point: from what I hear from friends in New York and Boston, the protests are getting organized really fast. It will take a while for a theme to emerge but that is where small groups like ours can have a louder voice. This is where you test your abillity to really practice concensus process- it can be a pain in the ass at times. Thing now is to be agressive about countering the spin they are already putting on the protests.Thier preffered tactic is the lie spoken often enough becomes truth
