Introduction

I joined to make some new dive buddies and add some social life back into SCUBA. What I found was a fantastic group of smart people who care about the environment and making a difference, really love to dive, AND throw great parties! Join us!

What type of diving do you like to do (cold water, warm water, wreck, cave, etc.) and where would you like to go in the future?

I'm drawn to wrecks, big animals, and muck/macro photo dives, but I'm up for any challenge. I have my sights on Sea of Cortez, Indonesia, Australia... and Belize is always calling me back.

When was your most recent dive excursion/trip and where?

Marianna, FL, 2008; Local Diving (!!); Akumal April 2008; Florida Cave Country Dec. 2007; Dive 'n' Dash Bahamas Oct. 2007!

What was the date of your initial certification (month/year)?

10/1998

What dive association(s) do you belong to (i.e., NAUI, PADI, SSI, TDI, etc.), what is your highest level of certification, and how many logged dives do you have? (If you're new and have never been diving, that's great too, tell us why you're here):

PADI Divemaster & DSD Leader, Master Scuba Diver, EFR Instructor; TDI Advanced Nitrox & Deco; NSS-CDS & NACD Full Cave. 262 logged dives.

How did you find out about us (craigslist, google, scubaboard, meetup.com, etc. Please don't skip this question, it really helps us!)?

Has anyone been diving in Japan?

"Hi there, Ken. While Japan is not a top dive destination on the minds of Americans due to travel logistics and cost, there is certainly plenty of diving to do there...."

Garloo is a-runnin'. How about some local divin'?

"The Research Vessel Garloo, which runs dive trips out of Captree Island, had a run-in with Lady Luck this year, losing an engine in mid-season. That was unfortunate for the Garloo and for divers looking for choices in local diving...."
