Six years! Six years it took to be part of the Burning Man Big Circle, the collective of conclaves (groups of fire dancers) who perform surrounding the Man the night of the Burn. Flame in the ultimate Flame Up!! Hundreds and hundreds of fire performers all at once. What a peak moment! Thrilling to be a participant, thrilling to watch. Like the night of the Burn, I guess that is why our Flame Ups are so much fun, something for everyone, plus add good drinks and food. John, with his body painting, added the art last time. Who?s gonna be pulling up to the Flame Up in an art car next?? My bet would go to Jay!
Gotta keep this high from the Burn going. SO Next Flame Up sometime in October in LA Decom-stay tuned for the date
Poi classes beginning in October at TeWinkle Park in Costa Mesa ? details soon to follow
Are you a Fire Performer? Do you want to learn about fire manipulation or fire spinning? Do you know what fire manipulation is? Fire spinning is a group of performance arts or disciplines that involve manipulation of objects on fire. Typically we manipulate objects that have one or more bundles of wicking which are soaked in fuel and ignited. We also do fire hooping, fire fans, fire staff, dragon staff, fire breathing, fire eating, devil sticks, fire wings, fire meteors, torches, fire swords, fire rope darts, chi balls, finger wands, palm torches, fire jump ropes, glow poi, glow hoops, flags, juggling, unicyles, flaming bag pipes, fire nunchucks, fire puppets, fire mops etc. We also shoot off our fire poofer and have evolving fire sculptures. 18 years and older please. If you like fire performing, watching or photographing you'll be welcome here. For more information, see Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_dancing
