The Orange County Fiberistas Group is open to all knitters or wannabe knitters in the OC area, of all ages and skill levels. We are an open community, interested in spreading the joy of knitting. Bring your friends, bring your projects, bring your questions! We promise that this knitting group will constantly evolve, exploring new areas of the craft and engaging participants in new and interesting ways.

Who can/should join the Orange County Fiberistas Group?
Anyone! Knotty Knitters, Purling Princesses, Chicks with Sticks, Yarn Sniffers, Men With (Yarn) Balls, Fantastic Felters, Sassy Spinners, Creative Crocheters--in short, fiber art lovers of all shapes, sizes and denominations.

How do I participate?
Join the group, and try to visit the OC Fiberistas Group site at least once a week for updates and new discussion topics. Post in the message boards, vote in the polls, attend events, send the organizers questions, comments and ideas.

What can I expect at an event?
The sharing of ideas, showing off works-in-progress (WIPs), knitterly bonding, meeting new friends and, of course, knitting (and crocheting, and felting, and spinning).

What does RSVP mean for this group?
RSVP means participation. It does not mean you must attend every event.

Your organizers, naturally, encourage you to RSVP Yes or No whenever possible, but we do understand that life is not always certain. There are occasions (work, family, etc.) that will trip you up. We appreciate your RSVP reflecting your situation as accurately as possible.

RSVP Answer -- YES
This means you are eagerly looking forward to the next meetup event, and we can count on seeing you there!

RSVP Answer -- NO
This means that for one reason or another, you will not be able to join us for a meetup event. We will miss you, but look forward to seeing you next time.

How can I host an event at my home?
Your organizers are always interested in exploring new venues for the group. Please contact your organizers to make arrangements.

Can I post photos to the group site?
Feel free to post meetup and project related photos to the Orange County Fiberistas Group photo album at any time. WIPs, Finished Objects (FOs), patterns, weekly/monthly meetup events?we'd love to see them all. If you have any problems posting photos, let your organizers know.
