Dead Hard C++

Kevlin Henney and Jon Jagger will do a session on Dead Hard C++. We will explore some of the dark corners of C++. Please bring your favorite C++ pub questions and horror stories from the trenches. But this will also be a place to discuss a template masterpiece or an ingenious solution to a particular problem. The actual session does not start until 1830, but feel free to arrive early for socializing and perhaps something to eat before we start. The location has not been decided yet, but I will try to get a central place in Oslo with good food and cold beer. The meeting will end 2030 sharp, but then I am sure some of us will move down to a pub nearby for more beer and C++ discussions.

    Very interesting, a bit irritating with people in the audience who have to talk all the time.

    This is the dark side of C++, which I don't think is very important in the big picture, but it's fun and interesting to delve into from time to time. After all, that's C++' attraction, albeit its biggest flaw.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
