Boost

Boost is a portable C++ source libraries developed by many of the recognized gurus in the C++ world. The idea is to provide reference implementations of something that might be suitable for C++ standardization. Several Boost libraries have already made it into TR1, and more are being proposed into TR2, so it is fair to say that a lot of the stuff that you find in Boost today might eventually end up as being part of a C++ standard tomorrow.

Kevlin Henney will present some of his ideas around Boost and I am sure that he will also fire up his editor and write some code...

The meeting will be in the cellar of Bilabong (Bogstadveien 53) close to Majorstua underground station. We start at 1900, but feel free to arrive early, they serve excellent burgers at Bilabong. Kevlin and I will probably be there from 1800 to have something to eat, and you are more than welcome to join us. The formal part of the meetup is finished around 2100, but we hope many will stay behind for a beer or two.

Interesting to get Kevlin's perspective. I wish there'd been more practicals, though. Less text, more code!
