SF Online Community MeetUp and San Francisco Community Managers' Meetup PARTY!

  • Dec 16, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The Online Community Meetup (#OCTRIBE) and the San Francisco Community Managers Meetup (#SFCMGR) are proud to announce a co-produced  end-of-year meetup, in the form of a party! Both our groups will be meeting up for a purely social get-together at 25 Lusk.

The owners of 25 Lusk have generously donated two bays in the bar area for our Online Community Year-End Mixer. We'll supply appetizers. Please come with business cards and money for drinks (their happy hour is very affordable). Let’s end the year in the spirit of collaboration and community!

We’ll also be back to our regular programming (with speakers, presentations, etc.) in the new year.

RSVP via either meetup group so we will know how many of you to expect. And please be sure to share this with your networks! Everyone is welcome.

If you have any questions, just ask! Or tweet them to #octribe

Sorry to miss the party, but my housemate just returned from the hospital having fractured his hip and I got too busy making arrangements for his household needs.

Lovely to see everyone last night!

Hi Folks, I'm sorry to miss this event, but some dental work today has left me not able to talk or eat comfortably. Happy Holidays, and see y'all next year!

Oh I am so sorry to hear that Dorothy. Next year!

The event was great. I enjoyed being able to talk with everyone in a casual and fun environment where we could talk community and life in general.

      It's still going strong!

Keen to ask anyone for guidance on leads on recruiting a new Community Manager for Khan Academy! LMK if you want to connect :)

    • Susan T.

Um, I'm the approver, so I'll see if you are still in the queue.

OK, I just approved you Tom. We made the group by approval only due to the high spam rate we were facing. We still endure many spammers, but I moderate them ASAP.

Taking a note from Tom, we're hiring a community manager (please note, *not* a social media manager) at Sidecar. Hit me up with any Q's ([masked])!

But Rachael...sometimes people are both. A community manager will certainly use some similar tools. (Working on community here at creativeLIVE while others work on social.) :)

      December 11, 2013

    • Rachael K.

Oh, of course they can be! But people seem to assume that it's always both, and this one isn't, so I wanted to clarify.

You guys know you can post community realted jobs to the email list on this meetup, right? Probably a more effective way to get the word out. See you all on Monday!
