We are looking for exceptional Local Community Managers for
HowAboutWe in New York City, Washington DC, Los Angeles, and
San Francisco.

Who we are: HowAboutWe is an innovative, ready-to-explode, non-
lame dating site. We make it fun and easy for people to go on
awesome dates. On the site, people say ?How about we?? and fill
in the dots with the dates they want to go on; they connect
online and go out. This simple shift in approach changes the
whole dynamic of online dating, helping people to date how they
want to.

Check us out on the July 4 front page of the NY Times Sunday
Styles Section: http://nyti.ms/biUi0Q. We?ve also recently
been featured in Mashable, GQ, Time Out NY, Gawker, Nerve,
etc. Visit HowAboutWe.com and explore.

Responsibilities: Execute community building initiatives that
generate word-of-mouth buzz, promote offline and on-site user
engagement and acquire users.

Events and Promotions: oversee events, contests and street-
level guerrilla marketing (promotional materials/schwag will be
supplied).
Local Communication/Content Sourcing: utilize social media,
monthly newsletters and local writers to increase exposure of
the HowAboutWe brand and engage potential users.
Networking: identify, track and win over potential users,
social media influencers, niche community leaders, writers and
other potential HowAboutWe fans.
Partnerships: build cross-promotional partnerships with start-
ups, event producers, and others who contribute to your city?s
(digital and physical) culture.

Deliverables: The HowAboutWe Local Community Manager reports to
the HowAboutWe National Marketing Manager through weekly phone
meetings, daily emails, and quarterly in-person meetings.

Attend at least one event per month as a HowAboutWe
representative.
Create 1 large scale (50 people +) HowAboutWe-branded event
each quarter.
Oversee Local Content by recruiting writers for the following.
Writers will report to our Editor in NYC.

city each week. See examples here.

HowAboutWe dates. See examples here.

newsletters, etc.

HowAboutWe.
Qualifications:

You are crazy-excited to help make HowAboutWe the new way to
date in your city.
You're a natural social connector. Any one in the know would
(or at least should) tell us you are the one for the job.
You are a confident written and verbal communicator.
You are comfortable working with a team located in a different
city.

Hours: 10-20 hours per week, depending on the week.
