I agree with Erin, that the handle, account and followers belong to the
company. In particular because the name on the account was @hansensf,
which is a brand identity.
Whether you were the person creating the content and making the
connections or not, the users choosing to follow @hansensf were adding the
*company* stream to their feed. At least, that's what the name on the
account indicates to them they are doing.
And then of course, keeping the account yourself will mean that the
company has to start all over when they had hired you to build their
As Erin suggested, the original account and handle should probably be
given over to the company and a new account started for yourself. Also,
in the future, it's probably good to have a personal account separate from
any client accounts, and give others you meet the option to follow any or
all of the accounts.
