After doing a ton of research on this topic, I eventually picked Zendesk for our company. It also integrates with Salesforce or SugarCRM, Jira, etc. and tickets can be submitted online, via email, via Twitter, and more.

Subject: [ocr-135] tools for customer service?
My company is considering some type of customer service platform to help ensure that customer issues (trouble tickets, refund requests, etc) get handled without falling between the cracks. Has your org used such a tool? Do you have an opinion, recommendation or wisdom to share? If so, I’ll be grateful.
