Trip to Fourknocks

As a final little event for the year we're going to take a trip to Fourknocks. It is an unusual place in that to gain access you get a key from a neighbouring cottage and show yourself in. Although the main chamber has the same layout as Newgrange, it is far larger in size.

After this we might just head on up on a speculative trip to Newgrange Interpretive Centre for a coffee and see what is going on there.

As I mentioned earlier, for those who think that none of this touches us anymore have a look at The Bronze Age Fairy Tale, which, while apparently written in the 19th century, shows the mythological energies of the Neolithic and Bronze age are still active in the Irish psyche.

Hi Martine, No problem, I meant to have the trip not so close to Christmas but unfortunately I was tied up the last four weekends myself. It's a busy time of year!
