In diving to the deepest darkest depths of the narratives humanity has used in its journey towards consciousness we encounter the creative upwellings needed to propel us onward into the future.
Joseph Campbell's works have been well known by audiences in America and other countries for decades. Despite his strong Irish connections an awareness of the extraordinary scope and depth of his many works has yet to arrive in Ireland. The events hosted by the MRTG of Dublin offer a decent introduction to Campbell. As well as a writer he was an excellent educator and speaker and fortunately many of his talks have been recorded for posterity.
