Corner of Hayes and Steiner, San Francisco, CA
What I had in mind was some romance and some city flare. Okay, forget that if you must, but don't forget the strobes and light modifiers! And hey - what about those gels and snoots? The setting will be Alamo Square: the famous Painted Ladies and a gorgeous view of San Francisco in the backdrop.
Sunsets have been true stunners lately with pinks, oranges and blues criss-crossing the sky. We will meet at 4pm and scope out our ideal shooting locations - it's a park with lots of compositional varieties. Then let's work with the light before, during and after sunset which will provide lots of learning opportunities for quickly changing light.
I will organize models and provide instruction and guidance for off-camera flash techniques and working with a model.
YOU should bring your own flash(es) and favorite light modifier - and you should know how you will trigger your off-camera flash. We will work in small groups and assist one another.
If you are a total beginner, or do not yet own a flash, I would recommend taking my Off-camera Flash De-Mystified class first on 11/6.
or Off-camera Flash In Practice on 11/12.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
