Millcreek Ravine Off Leash Park

Good walk today at Hermitage. Thanks to Linda that led group down some really nice paths. A small group today of 13 (including baby Brendan) but a really good fun group! Our next walk will be on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 @ 2:30 p.m. at Millcreek Ravine Park. Millcreek Ravine Park is one of the nicest Off Leash parks I've been to. It's not close to traffic and it has beautiful creeks, trees, bridges and hills. My dogs just love it ! This is a special walk as we are combining it with the Mighty Mutts! So for once I think the small dogs will out-number the big dogs. Can I ask you to please keep your dogs on leash until we start walking as with so many little dogs, I don't want them to get bowled over before we start the walk. We will be leaving at 2:30 p.m. sharp, so give yourselves a little extra time to get there. The walk will be canceled if it is pouring rain but I'll let you know a couple of days in advance if it is not a go. Even the dogs don't like to walk in the rain! For those who haven't been, you get on to 99th Street (south side of the river); go East on 69th Avenue; turn right (South) on 93rd Street and take the first left into the U parking lot. There is also street parking if the U is filled. You'll see me set up at the first Off Leash sign. If you get lost or are going to be late, call me on my cell. I'll only have it on for the walk. This is a multi use trail which means there are bicycles and joggers and it's a good path for strollers. Looking forward to seeing you to walk the walk; talk the talk and bark the bark on Sunday, May 2nd @ 2:30 p.m. Jean Coates, Organizer Sam, Vickie & Vegas

What a great park. Merlin loves the ones with bush and water so he can cool off, and Millcreek Ravine has both. We'll definitely be back again.

One of my favourite parks. The sun came out just for our walk which was nice.

Lets hope the forecast for our walk on Sunday improves.
    13 degrees cloudy with showers.
The smaller dogs don't do well in cool wet weather......

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
