Corner of Hwy 21 & Township Road 522, Sherwood Park, AB
This picture was taken at Deermound Off Leash Park on November 11, 2013.
Our next walk will be at Deermound Off Leash park which is in the County of Strathcona, located just East of Edmonton on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 @ 10:30 a.m. Why? Because you know your dog(s) want it! This is a lovely park with lots of trees and paths to walk the dogs off leash.
The Highway 21 Regional Park is a multi-purpose park serving residents across the County. Located on Highway 21 and Highway 628, the park is Strathcona County's only dog off-leash site.
From Wye Road (which is Sherwood Park Freeway), drive 3 km south on Highway 21, turn west at Junction 628 at the traffic lights onto Township Road 522 and watch for off-leash area signs (only a few hundred meters along TR 522). The parking lot is on the south side of TR 522.
From Whitemud Freeway (which becomes Township Road 522), continue east past the Highway 14 intersection until just before reaching Highway 21. Turn south into the off-leash parking lot. If you reach Hwy 21 you've gone too far, turn around and you will see the signs.
(Don't look at the google map as it is never correct, just follow my instructions.)
I'll be set up at the picnic table South of the parking lot. You can call me or text me if you are going to be late or you get lost [masked]). We will be leaving at 10:30 a.m. sharp, so give yourselves lots of time.
As a reminder, if you bring treats for your dog, please do not feed them to other dogs as they may have allergies to certain things. And please give your dog treats away from the other dogs as it's unfair for one dog to get and the others not. Thanks.
Looking forward to seeing you and your pooches on Saturday, February 22nd @ 10:30 a.m. to walk the walk, talk the talk and bark the bark.
