Riverside West Off Leash

This picture was taken at Riverside Off Leash Park on May 26, of last year.

Our next Off Leash walk will be at Riverside West Off Leash Park on Saturday, May 24th @ 10:30 a.m. This Off Leash Park runs along side of the Saskatchewan River. It is quite scenic with lots of trees. This walk will take approximately 50 to 60 minutes return.

To get to Riverside Park, you first need to find the Dawson Bridge.

If you are travelling from North to South on the bridge, you must cross the bridge and as soon as you cross it, take the very 1st right turn into a parking lot.

If you are travelling from South to North, do not cross the bridge. Just before the bridge take a left hand turn into a parking lot.

The park is across from Riverside Golf course. There is lots of parking in the lot. Drive up to the upper right hand part of the parking lot and you'll see me set up there. Don't look at the google map posted as it is never correct. If you follow my directions, you should be o.k.

Just a reminder, I know people love to bring treats for the dogs. For our Meetup walks though, can I ask you not to bring dog treats. If you want to bring treats for your own dog (for training purposes) that is certainly acceptable, but please don't feed the other dogs treats. Some of them are allergic to certain food groups. If you bring treats for your own dog, please give it to them away from the other dogs as some dogs (including one of mine) are treat aggressive. I would hate to have any fights break out over something like that. Thanks for your understanding.

Looking forward to walk the walk, talk the talk and bark the bark on Saturday, May 24th at 10:30 a.m.

Max and I will be missing for the next 4 weeks. He had surgery on his knee yesterday and needs to NOT go on long walks until it's fully healed. :(

After that, we will bring our new puppy along. Hopefully she will be ready for her first adventure by the end of June.

A lovely day for a walk with 13 owners and 17 dogs. For once the dogs out numbered the owners. Welcome to first timer Eleanor with her dog Jersey. Congrats to Jennifer and her dog Flower who received a 40 walk award plus won the prize this week!

    Good afternoon dog lover's,
I will not be able to attend this meet-up, as it is too far away! I hope everyone enjoys themselves.

Looking forward to my first walk with this group. I think that it will be very good for my dog Jersey.
