Hi Katy - I think I'm the Jan that Kitty is referring to. I'm new to the group and have been on one organized hike. Madeline (another newbie to the group) and I have hiked, and plan on hiking, in Henry Cowell; however, we don't have a problem going elsewhere. While I like to go at a nice clip, I'm not a "power hiker" and do like to stop and smell the roses once in a while. Wednesdays are best for me.

Afternoon and morning hikes are perfect for me. Especially along the coast or in the open sunshine, if any, on low difficulty trails or walkways. A good example is Rio Del Mar, Cement Ship, walk. I get some good power walking there, about 3 miles, in the evening too at times.

Same goes for me. Especially the Niscene Marks hike as that is very close for me.
Count me in! Thanks.

Yes that sounds great. I have different days off every week so I would join you.
