Details: We will meet at Gateway Plaza shopping center and then carpool to the park entrance on Hwy 1. We will hike about six miles including the very steep 2 mile Clark Connection to the junction with West Ridge Trail where we will have lunch. Mostly shade on the way up but exposed, sunny and windy at the top. Spectacular views. The trail can be muddy in places. This hike is strenuous and not suitable for beginners unless you hike only part of it. Plenty of ticks and/or newts in season. We share the road with bicycles only in the very beginning, then we are on hiking trails. Dogs are not allowed.
What to bring: Water, lunch, snacks, tick repellent, camera, sunglasses/sunscreen/hat, waterproof jacket and hat if rain threatens.
