Fall Creek - In seach of the terminus of the flume

THIS IS A MODERATELY STRENUOUS HIKE

We will hike to the S-Cape trail, to the Ridge Trail, to the Truck Trail, where we will spend 20 minutes or so seeking the lower end of the flume. We then decend the No Name Trail,  to the Barrel Mill,  where we break for lunch or snacks. We'll pass the  lime kilns, and down the creek to the parking lot, 7.0 miles +/-.

Bring lunch or snacks and plenty of water.

These shots are well composed and artful. Photo #14 shows the lush green forest plants with one white flower poking through. That's my favorite.

So, does anyone have the GPS tracks from this hike? I'd be curious to see a screen grab or even just the raw GPS track export (kml, etc.)

Beautiful trail! I really enjoyed the hike and the company. BTW take a close look at the rocks in the creek in the seventh photo. They are not photoshopped!

Wow! Great photos, Eddie. I think I see the flume in that one photo....

Thank you to Peggy for explaining fun redwood facts. The nice thing about this group is not knowing who is going to lead the conversation or the path to the next trail or fun fact.

Nice to still see so much water even if we didn't find the flume. A beautiful day spent with great company. Thanks, Tom

I had a good time out looking for a little more Fall Creek history. Do watch out for ticks, I found one today. Good to see everyone!

I'm a little knackered from yesterday's activities so I decided not to push it with this hike today. I love Fall Creek. It's my favorite for some reason. I hope to join the hike again in the future.

Any estimates on the altitude rise for this hike?

    March 22, 2014

      Maybe 1200 feet

Is anyone interested in taking a hike in the Byrne-
Milliron Forest in Corralitos? There's lots of uphill
Climbs and some nice views of the Pajaro Valley.
