NOTE:  The Architect of the Capitol "AOC", proposes to get a DC permit to burn more coal at the Capitol Hill Power Plant in a populated neighborhood south of the House Office Building, South Capital Street and New Jersey Avenue SE.  CPPWG is the Capitol Power Plant Working Group, of the Sierra Club and others.

Getting the AOC to stop burning coal was the object of a direct action, with national and local involvment and direct protest, i.e. blocking the plant gates, in 2011, which led to a statement by then House Speaker Pelosi that coal burning would be minimized. Boehner is now House Speaker.  The Saturday program with be about many issues, not just the Capitol Power Plant.
