I enjoyed the movie, just hated the ending even knowing from the beginning that no one survives.

The aftermath Pompeii is a creepy place too.

Pompeii is basically Gladiator with a volcano in it.It's almost as if the producers "borrowed" the script from Gladiator, made a few minor changes, and crossed their fingers that they avoid a copyright infringement suit. There were even a couple of scenes that were almost word-for-word and scene-for-scene from the script of Gladiator.Despite this fact,Pompeii is a great film(as was Gladiator),with a stellar cast that connects to the audience on an emotional level that few films can accomplish.I especially loved Kiefer Sutherland's performance as the evil Roman Senator. There is plenty of great effects, action, moments to cheer, and moments that will make you sad.You should definitely see this film.A word of caution though for parents. This film has a lot of violence and killing for a pg-13 rating.

As a period time piece it does not disappoint. It keeps you engaged by the constant action. Only minor language. I would say 14+ for the violence and understanding the story line. Great cinematography and effects. 5 thumbs up.
