Public Media's EconomyStory
At a time when investment in journalism is shrinking nationwide, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting has invested significant funds in EconomyStory, a major economic news and literacy initiative that leverages the unique assets of public media. Funding is dispersed between a dozen public media organizations (see full list here), who are collaborating to create a staggering lineup of innovative local and national coverage and resources. At this DC ONA event, we'll hear from those project partners based in DC (NPR, PBS, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and Capitol News Connection), who will share project highlights and emphasize how other news organizations can take advantage of shareable editorial features.
This event is hosted by Joyce MacDonald, Vice President, Program & Member Services for NPR, and will be held at NPR headquarters:
635 Massachusetts Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20001
