We have details on the May meetup!

What: DC Area Online News Association Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

When: Tuesday, May 4,[masked]:00 PM

American University's School of Communication
4400 Massachusetts Ave. N.W. Ward Circle building, Room 2
Washington, DC 20016

This month's meetup is in cooperation with Hacks and Hackers.

The worlds of hackers and journalists are coming together as reporting goes digital and Internet companies become media empires. Journalists call themselves "hacks," someone who can churn out words in any situation. Hackers use the digital equivalent of duct tape to whip out code. Hacker-journalists try and bridge the two worlds. Trust us, this is our intersection as ONA members.

With the help of David Johnson at AU, Greg Linch of Publish 2, and Joey Marburger and Yuri Victor at Gannett, we're bringing people together for a cool evening in Washington. Stay tuned for more details on what David, Greg, Joey and Yuri are planning. They might be asking for your help.

USA Today has graciously agreed to underwrite the cost of drinks and snacks.

Hope to see you at American in May for a cool evening of hacking + journalism!

Laura, Tiffany and Matt
